Biography:
Betelgeuse, more commonly known as Beetlejuice, is a mischievous and crass "bio-exorcist" who assists the recently deceased in navigating the afterlife. He first appeared in the 1988 horror comedy film, Beetlejuice, portrayed by Michael Keaton.
In the film, Beetlejuice is summoned by Adam and Barbara Maitland, a young couple who become ghosts after a car accident. They seek his help to scare away the Deetz family, who are renovating their beloved home. Beetlejuice's methods are extreme and often backfire, leading to chaotic and humorous situations.
The character was later adapted into an animated TV series, also titled Beetlejuice. The animated series presents a more kid-friendly version of the character. While still a trickster, this version is less frightening and more focused on comedic adventures with his human friend, Lydia Deetz.
